Julie got a taste of her own medicine when her teenage son Zac threw her quotation back at her. If you want to outsmart your parents, find out how to go about it by reading this allsort.
“Don't wait. The time will never be just right”
Napoleon Hill
Frustrated by my partners recent decision to postpone going after his personal dream, I printed off Napolean Hill’s quotation and placed it on our bathroom mirror for him to see. If he couldn’t see his way forward in a direction he was talented in perhaps he would see this quotation that was sitting right under his nose.
He did. So too did my fifteen year old son who also shared the family bathroom.
“nice quotation there Mum” announced Zac.
“Thanks Zac” I smiled.
A few days later Zac asked me to put $15 into his bank account so he could go and get a hair cut. 24 hours passed and I had still not deposited the money into his account.
“Have you put that money into my account Mum” he asked.
“No” I replied
“Why not” asked Zac.
“Because I’m relaxing” I explained to which he instantly replied
“Don’t wait Mum – the time is never just right!”
I hate it when that happens. Those moments when you realise your kids are smarter than you? I peeled my resting bottom from the couch and instantly went to ring the National Bank.
“I hate it when that happens”
