DUNEDIN businesses are invited to put their best feet forward and have a go in the first leg of the ‘‘Why Not Workplace Challenge’’ later this month.

The brainchild of Julie Woods (aka ‘‘That Blind Woman’’), the challenge will involve walking blindfolded as part of the Marafun event on August 29.

Walking in pairs, challenge participants will experience the 5km walk as a blind person and take a turn as guide as well.
‘‘The pairs will swap over halfway, to get the whole experience,’’ Ms Woods said.

Why Not Hair and Body owner Julie Addis has already signed up her team to take part in the walk and urges other businesses to do the same.

‘‘The challenge looks like a lot of fun — it will be good to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes,’’ she said.

The challenge walkers will gather at the Caledonian Ground at 9.30am on August 29 to prepare, with the walk to the start at about 10am.
